The Original beanbag

In 1998, the Finnish designer Jukka Setälä designed a beanbag unlike any other. Fatboy is – as many people think – not named after the firm shape of the beanbag, but after the artist Fatboy Slim. Since its launch in 1998, Fatboy’s Original beanbag has taken living rooms, parties, event spaces, beaches and offices by storm, inviting anyone to relax, wind down and have fun. The beanbag has become an unconventional design classic. By challenging the status quo, the archetypal chair is reimagined as an oversized beanbag filled with tiny pearls, adapting to your body’s position. In 25 years, Fatboy has sold over two million Originals in various editions and sizes, from velvet-like recycled polyester to organic cotton. And from designer and brand collaborations to outdoor beanbags - even floating ones!
